Finding great resources on hysterectomies and alternatives has been a bit of a challenge for me. However, I am starting to find more and some friends and readers of the blog have started sending me some links as well. A friend sent me this link to the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada and I found it useful.
The site uses easy to understand terms and language in its discussion of hysterectomies. This page offers information on some great topics such as why your doctor may suggest a hysterectomy, how to prepare for surgery, and different types of hysterectomies. The information is concise and practical. This is a good site to visit for an overview of the topic. However, as I tend to find, this site is lacking in a deeper and more thorough discussion on hysterectomies. I still believe it’s a good site to visit for general information though.
